Digital Bridge and Potawatomi Casino Hotel Spotlight Earth Day Partnership on WTMJ 620AM

During a special Earth Day segment on Wisconsin’s Midday News, hosts Jessica Tighe and Greg Matzek spoke with Michael Regione of Digital Bridge and Garret Finocchiaro of Potawatomi Casino Hotel about how a long-standing partnership is addressing Milwaukee’s e-waste challenges while expanding digital access across the community.

The April 22 interview on WTMJ 620 AM focused on a month-long electronics recycling initiative launched on April 1. As part of the program, Potawatomi team members are invited to bring in retired electronics—securely and at no cost—for responsible recycling through Digital Bridge. Many of these devices will be refurbished and rehomed with individuals and organizations in need.

Regione shared a personal story that illustrates the impact of this mission: a woman who received a refurbished laptop through Digital Bridge recently reached out to say that access to the device helped her apply for—and land—a new job. “It’s stories like these that remind us this work goes far beyond recycling,” he said.

This latest initiative is part of a broader relationship between the two organizations. Potawatomi has long partnered with Digital Bridge through its IT department and has supported the organization's mission via the Heart of Canal Street campaign.
